Syngenta honors top wheat associates for commitment to seeds business
05.03.12
AgriPro seed associates recognized for role in maintaining quality seed production
Local agronomic expertise and commitment to certified seed enhances wheat production
Greensboro, N.C., USA –
Syngenta
recently recognized their top-performing independent wheat seed associates for sales excellence and achievement at regional meetings. Awards were given based on sales volume, as well as associates’ commitment to producing top-quality, certified wheat seed for distribution in their region.
The purity of certified seeds reduces the risk for disease infections and low germination rates while providing the advantages of new seed technology.
“It’s important for us to recognize the value and important role our seed associates play for Syngenta and our seeds business,” said Matt Keating, cereals regional account lead for Syngenta. “Our associates contribute to maintaining seed supply and quality, as well as providing local agronomic expertise to help growers in their area maximize yield potential.”
Syngenta works with a network of local
AgriPro®
associates because of their experience and expertise in wheat. With their knowledge of varieties and certified seed, the associates are equipped to help growers select seed varieties that are suited for their specific farming operations, soil types and management practices.
AgriPro brand certified wheat seed varieties offer high yield potential, good test weights and high quality grain while maintaining consistency under a wide range of conditions. To qualify as certified seed, strict regulations must be met. Detailed records are kept of all treatments applied to each field and they are subject to random inspections. Certified seeds are laboratory tested and must meet the standards of the
Identity Preserved (IP)
program.
To equip seed associates to deliver varieties that address growers’ needs and to meet the growing global wheat demand, Syngenta has continued to make it a priority to produce high-quality, certified seed. Certified seed has demonstrated its value through performance in increased yield and profit potential.
