Posterity fungicide from Syngenta now registered for golf courses in New York

Latest dollar spot solution provides superintendents with up to 28 days of control

GREENSBORO, N.C., USA, June 17, 2019
Posterity® fungicide from Syngenta is now registered in New York to control key diseases on golf course turf. As the most-active SDHI against dollar spot in the turf market, Posterity holds stronger than the industry standard to provide up to 28 days of control.

“We’ve seen excellent dollar spot control from Posterity since launching it last August,” said Mike Agnew, Ph.D., technical services manager for turf at Syngenta. “We had great results in our research trials, and we’ve heard from superintendents across the country who have seen increased disease control on their courses.”

Preventive applications of Posterity are recommended beginning in the spring, prior to the development of dollar spot. Posterity also has curative properties and can be used for extended preventive applications for continued protection that holds strong until winter.

To help with timing applications, superintendents can sign up for dollar spot alerts from Syngenta that are based on the Smith-Kerns prediction model. For resistance management and broader-spectrum control, Syngenta also offers agronomic programs that strategically rotate Posterity with Secure® Action™, Daconil® Action and other trusted products to properly condition turf so it will perform at its best during the season and recover quickly from stress.

“Recent industry research shows that nearly 38% of surveyed superintendents in the Northeast are looking for a better solution to control dollar spot,” said Stephanie Schwenke, turf market manager at Syngenta. “With this registration of Posterity, we are excited to bring our customers in New York a solution that provides the exceptional dollar spot control they need.”
