Cotton
Karate with Zeon Technology™, the southern growers’ most reliable insecticide investment, delivers the broadest spectrum of control on primary and secondary insect pests of cotton, rice, peanuts and soybeans. In the arsenal of insecticidal tools available to growers, Karate with Zeon Technology provides unsurpassed residual activity, consistency, flexibility and value.

The advanced chemistry of Zeon Technology® is what makes broad-spectrum Karate so effective and long lasting. This microencapsulation technology forms a wall of protection around the active ingredient in its core, but quickly releases the active ingredient upon application. That means better performance and easier handling than ever before. Karate mixes easy, flows smoothly and disperses completely in water. Plus, Karate conveniently cleans up quickly with water.

Zeon Technology: Quick-Release Encapsulation
Syngenta Crop Protection is setting a new standard in insect control. Karate with Zeon Technology possesses a unique encapsulation process that offers farmers an edge in the battle against a broad spectrum of cotton pests.

Zeon Technology is a patented encapsulation technology that encases the active ingredient of Karate into tiny, quick-release capsules. The capsules are only 2.5 microns – about 1/30th the diameter of a human hair – so growers won’t have to worry about the insecticide clogging up their sprayers. Once applied, the quick-release capsules adhere strongly to the foliage and immediately begin releasing the active ingredient.

As a result, Karate with Zeon Technology gives a fast knockdown of target pests, and the encapsulation formulation provides better overall control because of its greater residual activity. A strong UV protectant is enclosed with the active ingredient of Karate in the capsules, which helps improve the product’s residual activity. The capsules even provide for better rainfastness, which also helps improve the insecticide’s residual control.

Additionally, the capsules are suspended in a water-based carrier, which makes equipment cleanup more convenient. A more direct benefit to the grower or applicator, however, is that the capsule wall provides a barrier that reduces the potential of handlers coming into contact with the active ingredient.

Karate with Zeon Technology is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment or to residues on blooming crops and weeds. Do not apply this product or allow it to drift onto blooming plants if bees are foraging in the treated area.
