A flexible application window enables Prefix to be applied as a preemergence herbicide or, if overlapping your residuals as part of a two-pass program, an early post-emergence herbicide with residual control of up to five weeks. Prefix soybean herbicide is one of several Syngenta herbicide tank-mix options, including with Tavium when applied preemergence. Tank mixing with dicamba provides you with additional weed resistance management benefits. Dicamba should be used as part of a two-pass program to be effective and sustainable.
A preemergence application of Prefix can control early-season weeds before the competition for sunlight, water and nutrients affects your soybean yield. As seen in these plots, Prefix provides stronger weed management than other preemergence options.
Take pressure off of your post-emergence application by applying a preemergence herbicide with longer residual control, which can make a big difference, as seen in these trial plots. On the right, Prefix controlled tough weeds.
